so.. the UOB Ladies' Card.. selling point: the men don't get it..
i am disturbed... again.. at the reverse discrimination which people get away with...
so.. tell me this: if a bank or anything like that go with a Men's Card.. and pushes it like: the women don't get it... will they be sued for discrimination?
you bet your sweet ass they will!
so, how come we endure discrimination against the men?
it is a sad world... if men "discriminate" against women and not allow them to do stuff or prohibit them from something (even if it was frontline combat), they get sued..
if women do the same, a whole lot of women go "you go! girl!"
discrimination is okay if you were the "oppressed" or "minority"?

stretched targets, if met, will kill the organisation... tell her to think for a while..

Hmm... I guess that tagline is used as a selling point for the card.
But then again, if you think about it further, the fact that a tagline like that would make the card more appealing does seem to suggest discrimination. There's a 'one-up' insinuation to the tagline, for certain.
I guess being a b!tch is viewed as being 'kewl' in society. If movies are anything to go by, there are roughly two types of heroines - the feminine, dainty 'flower', and the strong-willed, feisty, in-your-face 'steel magnolia' type. This is very obvious in Korean movies, where their heroines are very clear-cut - they are either the first or the second type.
Maybe, that kind of image is popular and sought-after because it gives women a sort of 'power' image - that they are beautiful / sexy / self-assured enough that they can get anything they want, and even have men crawl under their feet.
Not fair, and discriminatory, true... but then again, don't men oogle at the so-called b!tches too? Don't they hold a sort of allure for men?

I'm sure we all know by now, what I feel about women like that! But that does not change the fact that they are still exalted, in many cases, by the men who are their mesmerised 'fans'!
This card just jumps on that popular image and tries to sell a lifestyle thing based on that. Marketing ploy.
