i have obsession with Excel, which irritates my projects mates
any table that can be simply drawn up on Words, i ngeh ngeh do on Excels, then when come to transferring it to Word report, i let them do
if lucky, can copy and paste ok
if not, lotsa adjustments, then they curse and swear at me

some running dog at work came up with the most insane and irresponsible "database" ever in Access...
being "IT", the bosses loved it even when it is totally useless...
well, each time i use it, the file grows... even when i open and close it, it grows by about 100kb..

note the words "running dog"...
he came up with it.. actually, he mooted the idea, everyone shot it down... he pushed his idea to the big boss... suddenly, a lot of people ended up doing the hard work (they had the misfortune of knowing visual basic and Access)
he took all the credit and everyone's eternal hatred...
we've been fighting with that piece of crap program ever since.. no one trusts it and it's generally known to be crap and irresponsible...

strange thing about that piece of crap... you cannot "save" and if you screw up, you screw up...
it saves automatically whenever you do something, which means whatever you enter, and go to the next box, it saves...
and it lost a whole lot of data too! i think it was when the prog grew too big for a floppy disk..
the 900kb file is now a 4MB monster... same amount of data! -
