Chris will be the guinea pig tonight
He's complaining that I'm not cooking that often lately....anyway most of the time I just marinade the food and he just have to heat it up in the oven -
Thot I had a bak hu sandwich for breakfast and a delifrance chocolate croissant for teabreak (it's the cheapest 95c for takeaway), and yet I'm so hungry....must be the cold weather.

Lately, to save time, I've started to cook some dishes on the weekends for freezing....then just microwave them during the week for dinner. Last night, we had Roti wraps with Indian cauliflower & potatos and chicken & bean chilli. Saves me time to do other things. Must go look for recipes for stews and stuff that's suitable for freezing.

Oh, it's true that curry tastes better over night....something to do with the merging of the herbs and spices.

Just got back from a shopping spree!! Wheeeeeeeee!!!
On night duty tonight so must go to sleep soon. But going to update the SBaP watch cause there are sales and what not happening.
Wanda and elindra, you were talking about ham and sauce. Well, I remember one year, SL threw a Christmas party and somehow, the sauce for the ham was missing. So, I asked her mom for a can of pineapple rings / cubs and drained it, threw the juice into a saucepan and simmered it, adding cornflour to thicken it, and voila! ... last-minute pineapple sauce!
Recently, read a modified and better version of this pineapple sauce in a local food mag - Eat!, I think.
Empty one can of pineapple rings / cubes into the saucepan. (You might want to cut the pineapple into bite-size pieces first.). Simmer slowly. Add a stick of cinnamon. (I would suggest adding grated ginger too cause gut feeling says it'll all go well. ) Bring to the boil. Add sugar, if needed. Add cornflour to thicken the sauce. Voila!
I would suggest adding brown sugar to give it a good golden colour. You may also want to consider getting a can of Ligo's Pineapple in its own natural juice for the added pineapple flavour.
