$900 for one year's road tax? Hmm... all things considered, that's not too bad. I seriously thought absurdly high road taxes was one of the government's strategies for discouraging private vehicle ownership in Singapore.Originally posted by the Bear:yeah.. oh well.. it's $900 for the year.. and no.. i'm just lazy to go to the post office

Oops! You're right. I completely forgot about that! The whole CoE scheme is a veritable cash cow for the government.Originally posted by the Bear:they use the Certificate of Entitlement for that
Vehicle owners in the US do not pay a "road tax" similar to Singapore's, but we have to keep our motor vehicle registration current by paying an annual fee. Some states charge a flat rate, others base the fee on the age of the vehicle.Originally posted by Fatum:How much are you paying MG ? ...![]()

Wow $100 a year? and you complain.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Vehicle owners in the US do not pay a "road tax" similar to Singapore's, but we have to keep our motor vehicle registration current by paying an annual fee. Minnesota, unfortunately, has one of the highest MV registration fees in the US: I'm currently paying $100/year for each of my two vehicles. Compare this to neighbouring Wisconsin, which only charges a flat rate of $25/year per vehicle, and you see how we're being screwed here...![]()

I think me lagi more kiasu!I would get my course guides and then start to read up on a few of the subjects. I'd hop over to the library and start photocopying materials that I think would be required reading so that when semester starts, we don't have to fight with everyone else over the books and we won't get 'stuck' in a rut when the books we needed are all loaned out.
I also ran my project group like a tight ship, and in an organised fashion, with everyone being assigned things to do according to their strengths and with schedules and deadlines drawn up and communicated.
See, kiasu or not?![]()
