go knock doors at resturants between lunch and dinner, that's how i got mine, or better yet, just go to one of the fast food resturants ... they are always looking for people ...
I think it's best to get your hands dirty for your first job ...

copied this from my dear granny ...
recipe:
long beans (was hard to find),
dried shrimps,
lean three layer pork,
pumpkin pieces,
I added lap cheong slices for extra taste ..
wash rice and set aside, fry everything up ... add rice, soy sauce and oyster sauce for flavouring, stir and put into rice cooker, add water, and sesame seed oil for fragrance ...
press cook button ....
can substitute yam for pumpkin too though i don't like yam ....
It'll get lost in the crapping here!

but i was super nice to those young couples coming into the place on dates ... it was a rather classy place, and you can see the pain on the guy's face at seeing the prices on the menu ... so i'll be extra nice to them ... like sneaking them house wine refils without charging them ...
speaking of wine ... i learnt that most of those pretentious yuppie types don't know anything about wine at all ... they'd sniff at a cork and yak a lot of bull ... but they can't telll the difference between a heavy wine and one that has turned to vinegar ! ... -
