Bear, I am not a member of the NRA, but I have to ask, where do you get your information from? Do you know for a fact that it is on the NRA's agenda to '...want shops to be able to sell any kind of weapons, from hidden little pistols, to fletchette guns which will pierce kevlar, to fully automatic assault rifles and heavy machineguns (the types mounted on tanks).' ? Is this intention specifically alluded to anywhere in their manifesto? It sounds like something lifted right off the pages of the
National Enquirer.
And what's this about little children 'kill(ing) each other each other with a gun they bought at wal-mart discount store'? Again, where do you get your information from? Last time I checked, there is a minimum age requirement for purchasing firearms in this country, plus a whole series of background checks that have to be passed before the purchase can go through. Check out the FBI website
here for a detailed description of the background checks.
Bear, it's quite obvious that you have a vehemently anti-gun mindset, and that is your right. However, you'd do good to check out the
facts pertaining to issues concerning firearms ownership in this country, and not rely on Hollywood or the popular press to shape your opinions thereof.
