Night Owl Chatterboxes - Part XV!

oh.. another dish i would try one of these days...
get a deep pot, about 30 mussels.. all cleaned...
diced carrot, celery and potato.. about 2 large handfuls (men's hands here
)
a huge knob of butter...
melt the butter and saute the veggies..
throw in the mussels and more butter.. stir them around for a while...
pour in about half a can of beer..
allow to slowly simmer and close pot..
allow to reduce..
remove from fire and enjoy

Anyway, she no longer buy and cook crab herself liao....being older now, and not good for her karma .....as she was told by someone from the temple. Good for her, lah. -
they don't die.. they just turn dormant..
what you can do is to stab the thing right down the middle of the underside with a knife..

Come to think of it, I have never ordered crabs or clams outside at makan places....altho' I did inadvertently ordered fish....then realised they killed a live fish for me....that was in Bali.... felt a bit bad, but the penggang fish was excellent!
