No doubt they make the kidney receipient's family adopt the 'donor' cat as well, but still, that's a pretty awful strategy!

WTF are people thinking 15-25K for transplant for an animal? Thats absurd and quite frankly obscene. Donate that money to 3rd world country or even your local "homeless" or other shleters. And get a new CAT!!!
And no i do not understand that you can have such a connection with an animal. Some people do not even treat their kids with such love.
Every time i hear such "stupity" on the news about people spending so much on a pet. I wonder if these people are just that generous and donate liberally to their local charities. There are people who are starving, abused, and have mental illness that such money can be used towards. And i am talking about the ones in your own country.

they got cameras on leopard seals, bears, penguins and turtles!
the leopard seal just ate a penguin...
next are orcas.. they go eat seals.. by hurling themselves onto the beach to take seals on the beach off patagonia -

My cats used to love to hunt lizards. They'd swat the lizards around and play with the dropped tails cause they're entranced by the twitching!
When Meiji spotted a lizard on the wall / ceiling, she'd sit right under it and meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeoooooooooooooooooooow insistently until I picked her up towards the lizard so she could swat it. -
cats are greedy..
