Last night, when she proclaimed that I shall have to follow her and be by her side the whole night and be her assistant, I was !!!! I wanted to go down on my knees and ask God what have I done wrong?!
OK, jokes aside, I'm really having cold sweat thinking of how mom's most likely to behave on that day. I'm going to plan to somehow disappear, *kapoof!! with my cousins on that day! Noooo way I'm gonna be by her side and plaster a goofy smile on my face all night long, man!! Nooo waaay!! Nosiree!! Nuh-uh!!!
I'm going to go around the hall to check out the eligible bachelors instead!!

- they have the right to control and dictate to their kid how to live his/her life;
- their kid owes it to them to obey and do as they're told;
- they can actually plan their kid's life down to the smallest detail cause they think they know best; and
- they are involved in this secret competition with their relatives / friends / neighbours to see whose kid is the brightest / most successful / marries first / has the 5C's, because they think that that's a reflection of how succesful they themselves are as parents.

i think all my parents want for my siblings and i is to be happy..we already told them no tea ceremony and stuff..
say byebye to the old chinese traditions..how does a wedding dinner with the theme shorts and slippers sound like?
fortunately i think my parents are quite westernized so more open minded.. -
