These past few weeks have been very eventful for me! Thanks to my accummulated leave and unclaimed public holidays, my last day of work is the 25th... and I'll be able to take a long breather and relax and get rid of the nasty memories and bad aftertaste before packing up and moving on to start a new chapter of my life - a chapter that took almost seven long years of sacrifice and pain to achieve.
Are your living and working arrangements in Australia all set? Do you have a confirmed departure date? -

I feel no need to push things somehow. It will happen when the time comes for it to happen.
Odd, cause when I was in the corporate world, I was a complete Type 'A' person and now, I've swung the other way and am Type 'C'! 
I guess I want to place this in God's hands. I've done what I can and in God's time, things will happen. So far, things happen at the right time and bits and pieces are slowly falling into place. I'm relishing every little moment that gets me closer to my dream. I kinda want to prolong the pleasure by savouring it slowly, much like how I like to enjoy my food.
I'll probably have a month or more of doing absolutely nothing before departure date, which is swell and totally what I was hoping for. A month to pack at leisure, meet close friends to say my goodbye's, tie loose ends, etc. Swell! -

Don't worry... I'm a list-maker and someone who loves to organise things ahead of time. It's really sweet of her to offer but I'd like to take your advice on bringing the barest minimum, although men and women tend to have different definitions of what constitutes the 'barest minimum'! Most of the stuff I can live without will be left in personal storage here for at least a year. And then, I'll make the decision of whether I'm staying there for good, afterwhich the stuff gets shipped over, or not.
Last year, Gedanken says he'd help me a bit with stuff when I'm there so I'm hoping that he'll still wanna do that when the time comes! I'll also be getting help from the agent as well as the network of nurses who are already there.
On top of that, I'm adventurous and kinda like to figure things out and 'go with the flow'. Like I said last year, ''If I can navigate NYC, I can navigate Melbourne!''

There are places I'd like to visit there though but I'm in no hurry cause I'll have all the time in the world! Besides, I sometimes like to explore a new place alone cause talking to strangers and asking for help can be quite interesting.
The Aquarium and the parks are places I'd definitely love to go to. -
