Pai seh... I keep going to the places that I'm familiar with and the rest is uncharted territory to me! 
I usually watch movies alone cause it's hard to get someone to come along with me. Most of my colleagues shun horror movies or they want to watch movies with their boyfriends / their husbands.
Sometimes, conflicting rosters prevent interested friends from watching the movies with me.
I don't mind watching movies alone anyways. I've done it for so long liao!

Actually, I prefer watching movies alone sometimes. This is so I can concentrate on watching the movie. Friends complain that I'm completely anti-social when inside the theatre and I'm like dude, I'm there to watch the movie, not to talk to you! -

I'm ok with company, but ok without too. I'm a movie buff but sadly, on a budget lately so couldn't watch as many movies as I would've liked.
Most times, I end up watching movies alone cause making arrangements with someone is quite difficult and I'm too lazy. Besides, I like to watch movies during off-peak periods, where it's quiet and not crowded at all. 
Crowded movie theatres are good for comedies / romance but not at all good for horror / adventure - too many silly, idiotic schoolgirls trying to act cute by screaming. 
I remember when I was waiting for nursing school to commence, I'd go to Shaw on Tuesdays when the tickets were just $5 and would watch one or two movies on that day. Those were special times for me - sitting there in the dark, being quiet, the solitude... somehow were therapeutic to me!

Yeah, I like watching movies on weekday mornings, at neighbourhood cinemas like tiong bahru, clementi, or west mall. Much better and cheaper too. !

Other times, I'd choose Marina or Plaza Singapura or Orchard Cineleisure. Used to love Shaw but the seats there are pretty worn out and really need to be replaced.
How come you get weekday mornings off? Maybe, we can go together one day. -
For me, part of the therapy is a box of sweet popcorn! But oooh... there's this deluxe popcorn sold in Cold Storage with coconut and caramel and those nuts... starts with M... but suddenly, I've forgotten its name!!!
I'll usually sneak in some snacks in my bag. Or, if I feel like indulging myself, I'll get a small B&J's / the steamed sweet corn which I love / the cheap sausages.
When I go with a friend, she'll get Nachos with extra cheese dip to share with me! YUMMY!!! -

Hey, when I worked at a temp job before nursing school started and after I'd quit my corporate job, I used to finish my tasks so fast that I'd ask for a day or half a day off in a week and cross over to Lido to have a movie-fest followed by a window-shopping fest at Isetan!
