This reminds me of an episode of Judging Amy (not sure if you watch this). Amy's a judge and her mother is a social worker. So as you can imagine they sometimes have really shitty days. Their freezer is well stocked with at least 5 flavours of ice cream, whipped cream, cherries, caramel and any topping you can think of. Once they both were in the midst of making their super ice cream combos and found there was only one cherry left. They both gave a short summary of their day to see whose day sucked more and the "winner" ended up with the cherry!
It's still kinda cheap and convenient here for us to go out for our ice-cream sundaes.
Besides, I can have pints of Ben & Jerry's sitting in my freezer and they aren't even half-consumed and they'll sit there frozen, till past their expiry dates.
Too lazy to go soften the ice-cream a little in the microwave, then scoop it out and then wash the plates and utensils.
