Random thought for the day:
Singapore is too crowded. People are packed like cattle on public transport. We need to start killing people.
what happened ? ...Originally posted by kopiosatu:woohoo, 2 months excuse upper limb.
Cannot imagine what it'd be like to add another 1.2 million onto this island. We're becoming more and more like a third world country.Originally posted by Fatum:the garment's target is 6 million ..... so we're still 1.2 million people short ...![]()
I feel like killing the auntie next door coz she is disturbing my peace in the office. Dunno what are they screaming aboutOriginally posted by av98m:Gd afternoon!

And the train crowds, esp at Jurong East MRT, are starting to remind me of India.Originally posted by elindra:I feel like killing the auntie next door coz she is disturbing my peace in the office. Dunno what are they screaming about

Yeah, and try taking MRT twice a day , both times during rush hour, to get to work and back.Originally posted by Fatum:well ... the garment thinks we need more peasants to squeeze and make the economy go mah ...
but yeah, I know what you mean ... the last time I came back for a visit ... I was almost claustrophobic when I took the MRT at 6pm ....
what's the surgery for ? .... sounds serious ...Originally posted by kopiosatu:i declare myself useless... everything they ask me to do i just say "anyone following me?""
Yeah. Its pretty horrible when I have to change trains at raffles place.Originally posted by elindra:The trains are seriously crowded now. I think we will start having train packers like Japan
SMRT must raise revenues more. More peeps in a train = more $$
Lately to get home I have to miss at least 1 or 2 trains before I can even get on
at least you could do it ....Originally posted by av98m:Yeah, and try taking MRT twice a day , both times during rush hour, to get to work and back.
I took taxi practically everyday for a few months to avoid the torture but in the end gave up. Felt too much pain spending over $300 a month on taxi fare!![]()
well, i can't lift my arm up at a certain angle.Originally posted by Fatum:what's the surgery for ? .... sounds serious ...
What about going for chiropractic treatment? It helps stuff that physio doesn't help.Originally posted by kopiosatu:well, i can't lift my arm up at a certain angle.
so an x-ray was done and it seems like my joints are still ok.
that means the muscle/tendon/ligament could be blocking the way... so for now he's put me on physio treatment. after 2 months if its still the same i will do a MRI. after that would be the worst case scenario.
Unfortunately, that IS the global trend. The pay packages for top management, including CEOs, directors etc have been increasing while pay for those on the lower ends of the organisational food chain has been on a downward spiral, thanks to outsourcing and other factors.Originally posted by Fatum:at least you could do it ....
imagine those blue-collar sorts ... earning $600 a month type ? they have no choice ...
the rich are getting richer .... but the poor are getting poorer too ... I don't mind the rich getting richer ... but if the gap widens both ways, there'll be big problems ...![]()
I got downgraded from you know where because of my shoulder tendons/ligaments too .... best keep an eye on it ... mine's got so bad before the MO gave a shit that sometimes my shoulders pop out and dislocate when I sleep in certain positions at night ... and i'll wake up screaming ...Originally posted by kopiosatu:well, i can't lift my arm up at a certain angle.

I'm already kaopehing about the price I have to pay to take the MRT, not to mention poor serviceOriginally posted by av98m:Yeah. Its pretty horrible when I have to change trains at raffles place.
I think they will raise fares soon to cover the "operating losses" from the recently opened Buangkok station![]()
