I remember once, for my dept party, I cooked beehoon.
A few cans of that fatty stewed pork, sliced long beans, sliced carrots, cabbages, beansprouts... It turned out to be moist and very delicious... and also quite unhealthy too because of the fatty stewed pork!

that's the best part.. opening that green tin of stewed pork and dumping it into the wok, allowing the fat to melt into the noodles...
that's what makes it so nice

Actually, it's really unhealthy! If you open the can at room temperature, you can see little white globules of congealed fat floating on top, and then, underneath the gravy, there are layers of solid white fat!
But somehow, that makes the beehoon very tasty and very moist!
Stew the vegetables in the stewed pork, then throw in the beehoon to soak in the gravy... Yummy!!
I took two pots of beehoon there and at first, I was kinda worried that it was too much. But then, everyone wolfed it down and finished it all pretty fast! -
