some kinda infection in the liver or kidney and bladder
antibiotic drip for a few days and further observation for a few days more.. total: 1 week in hospital..
she says good things came out from this.. she's lost weight and she's quit smoking

Hey littlestream, how do you make your otak? I use a modified recepie from Mrs Lees Cookbook... also my aunty has a recepie that i wanna try, just waiting for her to email it to me...
Mrs Lee ah? I have the edition re-produced by her granddaughter but I do not like it.
My fav. is Singapore cooking by Mrs Leong. I am in between novice and elementary so I do go step by step. Not comfortable to step out of boundaries and make my own measurements.
For the otah, I have four different recipes. My previous attempts were all semi-successful in that the consistency is too moist. Skeujin and Bear gave me good tips. So, this time round, the texture was firm. But I think my rempah is not good enough. Not enough galangal, actually. Next time, I will know better. -

do you buy fish mince/paste or do you mince the fish yourself? Do you use egg white or the whole egg? When I get my aunty's recepie, will share it with you.
