Sounds like you have a neat project going on. All the very best eh, brey! Hubby loves house looking. Some weekends, we just drive up north. Look at monster homes. Estate homes. And if there are Open Houses, he likes to pop in too. He enjoys watching Divine Living, While You Were Out and some other on the Home & Garden network. Me? I don't know much about it. Just accompany him and sometimes, just pretend and nods head. -

Right now, there's a trailer on TV for a local Police & Thief comedy sitcom. They showed a fat cop dressed in civilian clothes cause he's working undercover and he whispered in his handphone, "The eagle has landed, the chickens have arrived, and the matrix has been reloaded!" Then he turned to the TV looking very smug and exclaimed, "No wonder I'm the only one who can work undercover!" -

And I started purchasing local home & decor mags when I was in Secondary 2! I used to squirrel away a bit of my pocket money each month to buy them!
I wish I was rich enough to purchase property, do them up, and then sell / lease them!
Once, when I was on a private nursing assignment, the folks were obscenely rich (they are tycoons) and the lady told me that she used to buy condominiums and houses on her whim and fancy and then decorate them up and sell it to members of the high society. I wish I was her assistant, man! -

look at the areas that you really want to get into, then take time to scout them and be familiar with the area, you never know you could turn up a nice find and if the owner is eager to sell, you could get it at a good price, but you have to know the area so that you know what is going on. My wife and I do that most weekends so that we know what is on sale and for what price, then attend the auctions or check sale prices to get a good idea for what is going on...
never say never... you are the only one limiting yourself. keep an open mind and know your budget... also it would help if you took time to discuss with your hubby as to what kind of style of house you want...
and remember if you don't get this one, there is always another one, maybe even better... -
