Stressed over the past few days
Folks was back to her nonsense again, asking when to hold dinner... Instead of sweetheart, my got the most mad, cos there is already 1 kid and another one coming...

i think there is a massive failure in SG education system today
I have talked to many of my classmates who are part time tuition teachers
We were amazed at the huge amount of homework and the difficulty of their syllabus nowadays as compared to our time.
And this learning school thinking nation thingie isnt working
Day after day, its simply clearing tonnes of schoolwork after school hours, and then sleep.
My classmates were simply helping them to clear their homework more than doing their main job, which is to help them in their weak subjects.
And coming from the other topic, students dont find swimming courses, literature enrichment courses etc etc enriching. One reason is that those course dont help them in their syllabus

read the thread started by someone bitching about not being given credit for CIP ....
so there we have it ... a breed of young chaps with very good grades for everything but probably don't know nothing .... -
and when we're doing something totally unique, they will look for something to benchmark against..
seriously!
i asked why we should when such benchmarking was counterproductive and cost so much for less than nothing, i was given dirty looks by my senior management...
however, they could not answer my question...
so we're stuck "benchmarking" and spending about about 2 hours per week doing something totally pointless which no one wants to know about...
