I caught a thief once years ago when I was in uni... my friend and I had left her apartment to get some take away... when we came back, we saw this guy running out of the back alley as we pulled in to the carport. He ran down the street and we did not think much of it... till my friend opened the door to her apartment... he had climbed in through the bathroom window and he left a nice big and clear boot print on the bathmat which was wet at that time...
I ran outside to see if I could spot anything, and I saw the same guy cycling up the road, I stopped him and asked him if he had seen anything... boy was he nervous.. he said no and I took a while to question him and I had a good look at him as I had stopped him under the street lamp, then when he left, i saw where he went and called the cops.. they picked him up in a matter of minutes and when he was brought back to the apartment, his boots gave him away... -

jetta, I really don't know where you get the energy to move every three years. It's like you have to start all over again for everything! Even your kids have to adjust to it - new school, new friends, etc. Do they ever act up and all that when it's time to move?

Well.... I currently rent in a very nice area but am surrounded by Mexicans. Many Mexicans. There are many here illegally and you can see them each morning at bus stops or at busy street corners, waiting to get pick up for any kind of work. When you're stopped at an intersection where they happen to congregate at, they'll ask for work, wave to get your attention, etc. Much as I like living at this super convenient location, it gets to me sometimes.Originally posted by laurence82:Is your place safe?
