We have the occasional young patient who turns up in our ICU with severe alcohol toxicity.
We always mumble when we receive such cases because it's like totally dumb, man! Unnecessary too! Wanna drink and have fun, fine... but to get SOOOO drunk until one is semi-conscious and in critical condition is like, dumb man, totally dumb!! -

i had no idea what hit me that night, i was chatting with those foreigh dudes (yes dudes) and i downed 6 jugs of bourbon coke. that night was the first time i got drunk and puked. after that i said "no more"Originally posted by Rhonda:Biangz!!! and to prevent myself from getting bloated, i turned to shots. small amount of fluid to get "high" for the dance floor. then my tolerance built up from 2 shots to 10.
then i stopped
after that the occasional visits i tried to take one glass of bourbon coke or just one shot.... my body rejected it.
so now its either i stick to orange juice, or start conditioning my body for alcohol again
