If I were a driver, pedestrians/jaywalkers will also be driving me crazy because there are lots of brain dead people in Singapore who walk around listening to their headphones and not watching where there are going.Originally posted by the Bear:i hate it when people are driving because mostly, they're driving me crazy

lots of mental health issues in SG?
wow thats scary.... we have found here that while there are a lot of services for young women.... theres a lacking for young men... i would assume it is the same for SG.Originally posted by av98m:Well....according to statistics about 1 person in Singapore kills himself/herself everyday. And these are the successful attempts. More women than men. Suicide rates among the young are rising while the numbers are falling for the elderly.
I suppose people at different rungs of the social ladder would have different sets of problems .....Originally posted by the Bear:seriously, i think a lot of people cannot see the forest for the trees...
they have problems.. but so do everyone else!
when i think about my various problems, and then i think about the children who live in the perimeters of Garbage Mountains, trying their damnest to scrabble together some junk to sell, in order that their family can eat, and yet they have a smile when the photographers come, when people arrive...
if these children with almost no chance of a better life, can hope, can smile, can dream of joy, and more, hope and work in order to move away from such crippling misery, i am humbled..
my "problems" aren't problems anymore...
yet, people kill themselves....

the education system is rigged..tharman needs to stop degrading the qualifications as well..Originally posted by Rhonda:I think just a few days ago on News at 9:30pm on Ch 5, it seemed as if the govt was kinda disturbed over the suicide rates amongst the young.I think they mentioned that on average, there's one suicide a day?
Amongst the young who committed suicide, most were female and it was due to relationship problems or pressure from schoolwork.
