tonight, went to Kuishin-Bo..
ate normally.. well, as far as normally went for me
everyone had a good time eating
after which, some of us went to the Esplanade for the music fest... in time to watch Ronin play...
this band has promise and potential.. and they can play well...
however, they have to get away from the almost infantile rants against teachers and stuff like that... and the lead singer has to find his own way.. he was trying his damnest to be Axl Rose (although he did a good job of it)
after that, it was Pop Tart...
we left...
they were a bunch of people playing with 2 decks and a set of electronics...
one girl broke out in dance and after a while sat down.. there was NO CROWD REACTION whatsoever...
the only crowd reaction came when an angmoh in green (i bet he was stoned on drugs or something) jumped up on stage and started to dance.. the crowd came to life.. the Crew heavies immediately tried to move in but the band who saw some crowd participation (finally!) talked them into letting the angmoh prance around...
after about 10 seconds, the crew heavy from the back of the stage rushed out and was stopped by the band again
seemed like the band liked audience reaction and even if it was some angmoh high on drugs, they were going to get audience reaction
after that, we left

btw, it's seal hunting season in Canada...
you know.. when the Crazed Canucks go clubbing.. only, with a cudgel crudely crushing seal pups' heads
