yeah..
for all the people who say that singapore are a bunch of foodies, i find that typical singaporeans are not very adventurous when it comes to eating...
i see them go to other countries on tour, and they WILL eat "chinese food" and refusing to touch the local fare available there..
in my years in melbourne, i came across students who were the same.. they lived on that crappy "chinese take out" for 2 years before i met them and dragged them literally kicking and screaming to greek, italian and viet places to eat...
i think they were kicking themselves for wasting two years of their lives eating that crap "chinese take out" after that...

gonna describe this before i go to sleep...
greek "fast food", Souvlaki
a lot of marinated steaks of lamb.. skewered down the middle to form a huge spit and slowly roasted over a charcoal fire....
they're just cut off from the spit into large chunks of the most tender lamb you've ever had.. by itself, it's called Gyros..
but that's not all..
a piece of Pita Bread is generously coated in olive oil and put on the grill...
the gyros meat is placed on the grill and some dry herbs are introduced
shredded lettuce, tomato and onions are placed on the pita bread, and the generous portions of the gyros is added, a squeeze of lemon and the wonderful yogurt sauce, tzatziki is added... the stuff is all rolled up like some giant popiah in the pita bread..
