Ahh..change for the sake of changing is even worse than no change.Originally posted by elindra:That's better than putting the cart before the horse. Worst thing was they got rid of the old team who knew what they were doing
With a bunch of new people who knows nothing
If they did the work better I have no complaintsOriginally posted by av98m:![]()

Congrats! The next thing you know, you might be sitting at the same table as them, dukin donuts into coffeeOriginally posted by the Bear:okay.. submitted...
plan, strategy, deliverables and bloody key challenges look almost the same, just used jargon which the senior management loves...
i actually whacked a lot of pointless and meaningless jargon together and threw it at the senior management before.. it was like throwing dice and attaching a meaningless phrase to each number... putting them all into a paragraph without grammatical errors and sending it to them...
no one could make heads or tails of the bloody thing... because it was nonsense...
guess what?
they loved it...
with that, i dunno whether to laugh or to cry...
and asking the people under him to add alot of pointless & meaningless jargons together for him to look at..Originally posted by elindra:Congrats! The next thing you know, you might be sitting at the same table as them, dukin donuts into coffee

y not enter senior management..and change the way its run up there?Originally posted by the Bear:question would be... would one stay true to his conscience and stay a working hack, or sell his soul for a promotion into senior management?

if u cant beat them, join themOriginally posted by the Bear:i suggest you read the book "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man"
he sold his soul and he knew it.. he was in anguish for a long time but he could not "change the way things are run" because once you lose your soul, the only way to redemption was to leave...
those who delude themselves into "going up and changing things from up there" find themselves trapped and doing the very things they despise.. and becoming the very things they rail against..
i've seen it first-hand... because one of the High Ones in my organisation thought he could.. now he's the biggest nuisance sprouting and worshipping all the BS that he once said he'd wipe out..
no one gets up there without becoming one of them, heart and soul

Because once up there you realise that if you don't sing and dance to the tune of the majority, you have a good chance of losing your jobOriginally posted by the Bear:i suggest you read the book "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man"

Well, there were more opportunities in the past. There are those who manage to "break out" from their class currently, but that is rare and few and usually they have some help along the way.Originally posted by the Bear:was at a seminar this morning...
the speaker did point out one thing.... classes in our society are starting to reproduce themselves..
in the past, the child of an illiterate labourer has the chance of becoming president scholar.. today, it's almost impossible as the High Ones will push their progeny into the very "elite schools" they were from, and from there, will take over the jobs they are doing... ensuring the replication of the social class..
just like the top management... they will not suffer a loose cannon kindly.. and will therefore replicate the same type of backstabbing &*#% they are...
