We get turbo tax for free via the military. Tried to get it done ourselves but we have too many questions. So we're going to a tax guy Monday night. 
Remember that the tax prep fee charged by the accountant is tax-deductible.
(I discovered, after filing my federal return, that I had forgotten to deduct my union dues from the taxable income. No big deal, though--the net effect on my tax refund was minimal, but I'll have to make a note to include union dues as an itemized deduction next year's taxes.) -

Thanks for the tip. I had a home based business for a few years and found out then. We're not using my regular tax guy this year because he's in Hawaii. Since we're in CA, we figure going with this guy who's familiar with stuff here.
