We're renting a house with a pool. Seemed like a good idea at first but now I just see it as a black hole. Damn thing has to be filled constantly and cleaned weekly. The owner included a pool guy with the house, thank God. The kids have only swum in it once, on the day we moved in. It just started getting too cold after that. this one was about ants and beetles being killers...
the Tiger Beetle is scary.. but cool
next week, it's about spiders... even scorpions get eaten by spiders
time to go forage for food -

You're right. Many people here have capitalised on the housing boom which started about 5 years ago. You wouldn't believe the prices of homes here. We tried to buy a place but OMG, way way way out of our reach. San Diego is the 6th most expensive city in the States. We are so sway you know, we got stationed in Hawaii a few years ago.
