If the parquet is coated with some kind of laquer (which it usually is) and the water was mopped up post-haste, you should have nothing to worry about.Originally posted by elindra:I'm now worried about my floor.
SO didn't fix the filter properly and we got a flooded floor.
I hope my parquet flooring don't pop up![]()

If the parquet is not treated in any way (even with wax), then it's inevitable that some of the water is going to soak into the grain and cause some warpage.Originally posted by elindra:![]()

Ours is not lacquered
It's just polished downfor natural look
Sorry, we tried our best but we cannot lift up the tank to mop up underneath. Even if we drain out the water from the tank it's too heavy to lift up![]()

Fortunately, most woods used in parquet flooring are fairly dense and don't absorb that much water. If you're unable to get a mop under the tank, your best bet now would be to get some air circulating under it to evaporate as much of the remaining water/moisture as possible. Use some kind of fan to blow air under the tank, and let it run overnight (or a few days) to dry up the floor.
Hope that helps!
