  Now you're making me stroll down memory lane too. Being away for so long has made me forget the stuff I dislike about Sg. If we decide to return, I wonder how differently I'll feel being back home.
  
  For me, my pals and I would go to Changi and lie down on the grass watching the belly of the planes as they made their descent - after we gorged ourselves silly at Charlie's.

  Singapore is changing very fast ....
  
  ubin has an ugly fence around most of it's northern shore now .... labrodor park has a jetty and bigger car park now ... so it's no longer quiet .... pulau hantu requires a permit to overnight now .... ditto st johns .... the area around changi is no longer the same, the scenic route around changi airport's blocked off now, after 9/11 ... and now they are going to damm up marina bay too .....

  I used to hit that pub on the corner. I had such great times there. Europa rocked for me - after we gorged ourselves silly at Charlie's.

  You know, I had never heard of Colbar until a friend took me there years and years ago. Kinda reminds me of the fish and chip shop at Jalan Kayu where I used to live. I visited my old kampong several years ago and I just didnt' recognize it.
