I'm an expert at procrastinating these days.
Nowadays, my day starts AFTER I've watched Animal Precinct aka The Protectors at 10am on Animal Planet. I cannot leave the house until after the show! 
I was supposed to have gone off to the Margaret Drive library to return my way overdue books and have lunch there and then make my way down to the Expo this morning...
... but, whaddaya know... I'm still here!!
*mumbles under her breath...
Oh, nevermind... I guess that means that I'm already getting into the Aussie lifestyle!

I used to trawl for those cheap penguin classics on sale around town, and come back with an arm load each time ..... -
There's this book I really really reeeeeely wanna read - Julie and Julia. It's a book that started off as a blog and it recently won some award. the textbooks especially ..... I get mommy to buy them at kinokuniya or clementi bookstore and send them over to me at the start of each term .... even counting the air-freight i still save more than a couple of hundred dollars .... -

I can't 'Quote' sometimes, and today, I submitted my post ONCE and it appeared three times! And just now, I posted a new topic ONCE but it appeared twice!

if society's chaps are congenital gamblers, may as well it be the gov that creams them off rather than some underground bookie eh ? ....
to be honest, I'm not so fond of the casino idea too ... but not because of the gambling .....
I have this feeling that Singapore is moving towards a society where gaps between the haves and the have nots are getting wider .... and this casion will be a jarring reminder of that division when it's completed ......
I'm not sure Singapore is moving towards a society I'd like to see ....

Yesterday, on the News, this new young female PAP candidate was saying that in 25 years' time, when her kids grow up, she wants them to tell her that they want to stay on in Singapore, not pack their bags for somewhere 'better' to live and work in.
I mumbled, "Lady, you've got A LOTTA WORK to do then!! And here's hoping you're up to the task!" -

but I wouldn't go to the socialist extreme ... what needs to be done, is to bring everybody up ... make sure no one gets left behind, ..... squeezing the successful is not the way perhaps .... they can always go away somewhere .....
a middle ground, that's what lacking in Singapore politics ...... it's not much of a choice right now between the vampires on the right, and the nutjobs like CSJ on the left ......
a first step would be to de-corporatized the goverment, reclaim some of the public service infrastructure as statutary boards again .... why the heck they should be worrying about a bottomline anyways ? ..... and no, I don't think we'll go the way of the nationalized industries of Britain ... I don't see how corporatized public services can provide the lowest cost service to the public ... -

Well, I hope a small baby step can be taken when the voters in Hougang and Potong Pasir give the ruling pary's bribes and threats the middle finger and return their incumbent MPs to office. If these 2 constituencies fall then........

actually, i think he's just the tip of the iceberg...
the others who were really terrible include Tom DeLay.. now that one.. i'm surprised no one has put him in prison for about 1000 years -
