However I believe men can afford to be so nonchalant about peer pressure at work when it comes to appearance simply because they are not judged by their appearance as much as women are.
No matter our age, our status in life, our profession, our qualities etcetc. women are judge by looks if not first then a close second.

Female MP - bad hair leh
AI contestant - can sing but so fat! Thighs like elephant!

We have, afterall, become more complex than our ape forefathers, if you subscribe to his evolution theory, that is. -

First day back home, mom almost fell off her chair as she choked, "WHY are your thighs SO BIIIIIIG?!!"
And mind you, being my mom, she had a no holds barred attitude when passing comments like that to her daughter!
(Yeah... remind me why I moved out... )
Anyways, for the next few days, I semi-starved myself, as a show of rebellion towards her callous remark, y'know!
THen she'd say, "Why aren't you eating? Aren't you hungry?"
AAAAaaaahhh, THE moment I've been waiting for!!
"No need to eat mah! Things sooooo fat liao!!" Yeah, this, and many other assorted anecdotes happenin' under the same roof nowadays! Reminds me where I got my sharp-tongue from - developed as a necessary tool to survival in my home way back to the days when I was a wee kitten!

Bear, the D200 is a real monster of a camera body! Makes the D70s look and feel like a toy camera. Even the feel of the shutter firing is completely different. Controls are even better laid out than the D70s. And it has mirror lock-up!! However, the D70s is smaller and lighter, not to mention cheaper, and has much longer battery life. And you can use a cheap wireless remote for shutter release. The wireless remote for the D200 is damned expensive! The cable release also quite overpriced. Would it have killed them to give a normal threaded hole type shutter release button so that I can screw in my old cable release? -
