cca needs to be made compulsory becuase there is more to school life den studying..but how long does ur sch life lasts?until you're 18..10 hours in sch, but its alot of fun..Originally posted by The man who was death:that's u mah, not everyone wants cca. even without doing homework, u still spend up to 10 hrs in sch.
school ban lai should be less siong than working, but now i see they're trying to make sch close to the siongness of work

When you have prob coping, consult your teachers, I dun think they are the unreasonable sorts if you behave in class and try to keep up with the study paceOriginally posted by The man who was death:at least there must be some ways to lighten students' workload and pressure.
not making cca compulsory is one of them.
making sch holidays really holidays and not asking students to come back on those holidays is another way.
I agree. What's the purpose of having 'holidays' otherwise? As it is... the students seem to have more to do during the school holidays than normal.Originally posted by The man who was death:at least there must be some ways to lighten students' workload and pressure.

sometimes one subject more than one assignment or the assignment is very large like maths must complete 10 pages of maths problems in ten year seriesOriginally posted by BabyRS:I agree. "Holiday assignments" - such a glamourised term. Eight subjects x Eight assignments, which more often than not involve 'projects' which require research.
Defeats the purpose of having a break entirely.

I'd still choose ANY stage of school life over working life
In school, you screw up, you get comm service, or at worst detained... you're down but not out. You're still taken care of.
At work ... you're on your own to sink or swim, there's no luxury of a safety net.
