I'm not a supporter of most of the opposition because they only make the noise that the people want to hear, sure, they are in touch with the ground, but they don't seem to understand that bitter pills have to be swallowed ... Don't get me wrong. I'm all for the Opposition if they have clearly defined viable policies which doesn't have any hidden strings attached which may pop up after the policies are in place. and also the social consequences in the long run.

I just hope they actually remember that all the different flavours and varieties of goverment are a means to an end ... not an end in itself ... they discover the internet, and got to know that the ST is crap ... but suck in every word from everywhere else ... or read a few books and articles, and think themselves superior ... (reminds me of my quarrels with those weed smoking, hippie type liberal arts majors at the Arts faculty smoking corner here ... )

remember, basic necccesities are supposed to be excempted from sales taxes .... the poor get more disposable income for necessities, the rich pays more for luxury purchases ....
it's things like alcohol and tobacco taxes that are regressive ... -
