Funny story. After 9/11, security along the border got tighter. People coming over in cars had to endure long waits due to searches, etc. People on bikes were given priority over foot traffic. So some Mexicans started renting bikes by the border. People wouldn't ride them. They would just push it across and leave it parked by the border until it was time to go back across. Now the US side is going to do away with this and the bike rentals guys are pleading with them not to. No income lah, no this lah, no that.
