to him, there seems to be no difference between state and party.. in fact, in a speech, it would seem that he thinks the party is more important than the state..
he said if opposition members were to go into parliament, he would spend more time "fixing the opposition" than running the country...
that is scary.. -

Someday, if another political party rises to take over the Govt, then how? Are you then going to say, the Workers' Party cleaned up the Singapore River or the SDA improved the school syllabus? No! education is a good example..after pm lee say in parliament that change to 5 day week etc,den they start to redo the syllabus.. -

I'm over the moon that Mr Chiam and Mr Low kept their seats and improved their share of the votes. SM Goh must be wiping the egg off his face and wondering what the old man is going to do to him for his failure right now.

actually without the foresight of a certain someone, Singapore would not be as progressive as we are today, admittedly, some of the PAP's policies are not the best and they have made mistakes, but when you live O/S for a long time and see how badly the other governments do and how they mishandle all your hardearned tax money and how much you get taxed... you realise that the infrastructure in Singapore is pretty good and that as Singaporean citizens, you have it quite cushy compared to most places...Originally posted by stellazio:ok fine..u can call it government..

I think the PAP must be worried that even in constituencies where they've won, it's with a less than 70% majority.

he has had his time... now, he's more a liability than an asset to THE COUNTRY...
he has built around him, a bunch of sycophants who all think that the party must come before the country... that includes his accursed son.. who has gone on national tv to say that he'll actually spend more time "fixing" the opposition if they were in parliament than he would running the country...
would you vote for people like that?
they WILL be the gabrament no matter.. they already have the biggest bloc no matter what happens...
