Oh, that issue again.Originally posted by sbst275:Ppl wrote a complain letter against bus 151 again
I dunno why, SBS has nothing better to do is it? Time and time again ppl complaining against this sv for overloading, 80% fleet of non aircon buses and lastly difficulty to board the bus aft Toa Payoh

Oh, that issue again.
The situation with the 151 service must really be bad for people to actually write in about it. Perhaps SBS should do something about it. Just my $0.02.
I did it bef once, for 2 svs which at the same time dug out some service inefficiency, you guess what? They told you their side of the storyOriginally posted by the Bear:why don't you, in your free time, go down to the bus stop and take statistics..
each time a bus comes by the bus stop, note down the time, bus number and approximately how full it is..
do it for a week..
and then sock it to the bus company

Perhaps this is the reason SBS feels it can get away with providing a sub-standard service: students are more likely to just grit their teeth and force themselves to tolerate the situation.Originally posted by sbst275:This bus 151 is simply a timebomb, cos it's the only bus sv to serve both a university (NUS) and polytechnic (Ngee Ann)... Lots of students I believe aren't happy

I'll try again, maybe at a broader paceOriginally posted by the Bear:bring to press instead.. since a few letters about the service already...
write down words like:
in spite of the bus company claiming that (their claims), with a pencil and a piece of paper, over a week, i recorded down their schedule. and it would seem that what they tell the press and what actually happens are totally different things.
so, do the management or the people who write these replies and schedules know what's actually going on? or are they those who are up there, in their airconditioned offices, totally oblivious to what's actually happening outside their offices?
and i'm willing to bet none of the bus company's senior management takes public transport to work.
shame them.. scare the bejesus outta them... pull public opinion against them...

But ironically, 151 was a fully aircon service between 1993 and 2000...Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Perhaps this is the reason SBS feels it can get away with providing a sub-standard service: students are more likely to just grit their teeth and force themselves to tolerate the situation.
The summer is still young--there'll be plenty of opportunity for those, perhaps not in Toronto but definitely here in the midwest.Originally posted by laurence82:No tornado?

Well, SBS had to cut corners somewhere in order to boost their profits. If their riders aren't happy, at least their shareholders are.Originally posted by sbst275:But ironically, 151 was a fully aircon service between 1993 and 2000...
Many of the problematic svs are of this kind
