After reading his Automatic Millionaire book, I opened a money market account. He just spurs me to want to get my financial house in total order.
Going to read the first book soon... but hey, that same author wrote a great book I just finished reading, "The Undomestic Goddess".Originally posted by jetta:Has anyone read this? Hilarious!
A good pal says I should read this next:

Shy to say, I bought like four of her other books based on the Shopaholic one I read.Originally posted by Rhonda:Going to read the first book soon... but hey, that same author wrote a great book I just finished reading, "The Undomestic Goddess".

High 5! Say, do you buy your books new, used or borrow from the library?Originally posted by Rhonda:Hey! THis was one of the books I was eyeing!
If I really really wanna read it, I'll get them new. Besides, most of the books I wanna read might not be available in the library one.Originally posted by jetta:High 5! Say, do you buy your books new, used or borrow from the library?
Borders had her entire shopaholic series a few weeks back - 3 for the Price of 2. Unfortunately, I picked her first book, and two other novels. WHen I returned yesterday, they had changed the selection liao!Originally posted by jetta:Shy to say, I bought like four of her other books based on the Shopaholic one I read. The Shopaholic one was slow going at first but when it picks up, it's hilarious.
Hate it when that happens!Originally posted by Rhonda:Borders had her entire shopaholic series a few weeks back - 3 for the Price of 2. Unfortunately, I picked her first book, and two other novels. WHen I returned yesterday, they had changed the selection liao!![]()

The HR Director in one of the American MNC's I worked for tried to make all the employees read it. It was a really good book that left an impression in me.![]()
I prefer buying books then borrowing. I cannot stand reading on a deadline. I tend to buy my books from the base because military enjoys a 25% discount everyday. Though sometimes I order used books online, if they're in good condition. I've been doing alot of that of late just to save $. Free shipping on orders over $25 and sadly, I can do that all by my lonesome.Originally posted by Rhonda:If I really really wanna read it, I'll get them new. I try to get fiction at the 2nd hand bookstore but these days, their selection is appallingly limited and I could never get what I want, so I gave up.
I like to buy new if there are attractive discounts.![]()
It's not... it's actually quite light reading and very very interesting too cause lots of real-life examples were given to illustrate their points.Originally posted by alexkusu:hmm...looks.............too serious
