So... what will you be reading this month?
For me, I've started on yet another easy-reading chick lit :
I wonder how many books I can actually finish reading before I eventually leave for Melbourne?

I read Australian Women's Weekly now and have stopped reading the US Woman's Day, Family Circle, Ladies' Home Journal and Good Housekeeping liao cause it's out of context and I wanna stretch my dollar.
I also like Australia's New Weekly. Gossip Mag. Yeah... bak gua ...

The HR Director in one of the American MNC's I worked for tried to make all the employees read it. It was a really good book that left an impression in me. -

I try to get fiction at the 2nd hand bookstore but these days, their selection is appallingly limited and I could never get what I want, so I gave up.
I like to buy new if there are attractive discounts. -
Borders had her entire shopaholic series a few weeks back - 3 for the Price of 2. Unfortunately, I picked her first book, and two other novels. the book i mentioned is pretty interesting. There are stories bout payoffs to celebrities to endorse crappy products, or a drug company that started a massive PR campaign to build awareness of a new disorder which they developed a remedy. The intention was to build publicity for an illness nobody knew they yet had, and then come out with a miracle cure
Paxil -an anti depressent.
the disorder was SAD (Social Anxiety Disorder). The symptoms were blushing, sweating, trembling and speech difficulties - very much like nervousness or shyness.
needless to say, Paxil has experienced massive sales -
I prefer buying books then borrowing. I cannot stand reading on a deadline. I tend to buy my books from the base because military enjoys a 25% discount everyday. Though sometimes I order used books online, if they're in good condition. I've been doing alot of that of late just to save $. When I lived in Sg, OMG, had to budget all the time when buying books. So expensive there, even at VIP cardholder prices. -
