apparently, we call it hokkien, but i tink they call it the min language

chinese history in chinese language programs are always cheem, but they are deeper than english ones on discovery channel -
yes, i can correct you. in fact, i also don't say hokkien here. i also say min nan yu. we have a hugh taiwanese community here. so ah, when you hear me speak mandarin, don't laugh okay? all rojak one. got s'pore type, got taiwanese type and mainlanders type. i think i wan tan le. all rojak.Originally posted by laurence82:yeap

taiwanese also rojak, only china dont seems to have the kind of problem
malaysian chinese also have a problem, coz they seems to follow taiwan a bit
my dad had a discussion with my uncle during CNY, seems china wanna restrict what they call 'garbage language', which also stemmed from taiwan
u noe, when we speak mandarin, we sometimes end with 'like this wor, like that wor, shi me, zhen de me?'
its those meh and wor that the china wanna clamp down -
