I still prefer Thai white rice -
short grain rice...
the taste isn't that much different.. some swear they don't like it.. but a few cannot distinguish in a blind taste test (the japanese themselves)
maybe it's the vinegar in the sushi rice? -

i on the other hand do not like plain white rice.
paella, risotto, jap rice...those i can eat. -
