but here's a northern Chinese style recipe you can try .... the potatoes will have a raw, crunchy taste to them .....
1. slice into thin strips some potatoes
2. boil them with VINEGAR ... very important ! ... it makes the potatoes crunchy instead of soft and starchy ....
3. pat dry and toss with saseme seeds, saseme seed oil, soy sauce, dried pounded chilis, some black vinegar if you like it sour ....
voila ! ...
