I nearly accepted an English teaching job with a school. Among other reasons, I turned it down because the hours clashed with my schedule. I found giving private lessons more fulfilling because of the camaradie I developed with my students. They were eager to learn about life outside of Japan. In some ways I felt super guilty because it didn't feel like I was teaching. parents jus cared how many textbooks their children has as measure of their education They paid for the textbooks I bought and we'd do textbook work for 30 mins after 30 mins of conversational English. While I was in Japan, I couldn't wait to leave. Now, I miss alot about living there. -
Probably not as high as yours. The supermarket is close enough to my home that it's not inconvenient to make 'unscheduled' trips there to buy an item or two that I may suddenly find myself in need of. -
