Talking about choppers, I had a grandstand view of a helicopter medivac from my sixth-floor office window last week.
Apparently, there was some kind of medical emergency in the DNR building next door. An ambulance and several emergency vehicles were parked by the lobby entrance, but for whatever reason, they decided to call in a helicopter.
The HealthEast chopper (a BO 105, from what I could see) made a low pass then turned back and descended between the DNR building and ours to land in the very narrow parking lot between the two buildings. There were lampposts in the lot that the pilot had to manoeuver around, and when he touched down, the closest one couldn't have been more than 10 yards from the rotor disc. Quite a feat of airmanship, indeed! -

just like the fighter plane... the P51 will always be the greatest ever because of the impact it made with its toughness and no-nonsense ability
