Oh man, it's going to be muggy today. High of 36 with humid index. Yikes.
How's your morning so far? Got your regular coffee and breaky yet?
Wow! 36 is hot, even by Singapore standards. The best thing to do on such days is just to stay indoors and enjoy the a/c.
Morning so far is progressing normally. However, I have a 10 a.m. meeting with my supervisor to go over some technical specs for an upcoming project. I am most definitely not looking forward to it as he knows next to nothing about meeting protocol, and likes to just plain drag things out for longer than they should reasonably last. A meeting that could easily be concluded in 15 minutes would, in his hands, drag on for well over an hour.
I'm hoping for something to happen before 10 a.m. that would result in the meeting being cancelled, like a fire drill, or a bomb hoax, or a plane hitting our building. Anything to cancel the bloody meeting. Help!!

just plonked down loadsamoney for some furniture which they will deliver on monday..

You know how you charge your hours to the department who uses your time? Yah, I do that, both green and brown dollars.

Nope, doesn't work in my organization. There are nine other programmers in my functional group who report to him, and we meet every Monday morning for what is diplomatically referred to as a "team status meeting." All nine of us absolutely hate this meeting and endeavour to provide verbal updates as quickly as possible to end the meeting sooner, but our @#$%^&! supervisor will find some way to draaaaaag the frikin' thing on to take up the full allotted hour--and sometimes even beyond that, if the conference room isn't booked for the following hour. -

No, no.......these people are salaried. When I said billing? I meant internal billings. Just movement of numbers. No actual transactions except for externals.
