Could you post the pictures you took at Ubin? I'm sure there are a few of us who'd like to take a look at them.Originally posted by sbst275:Evening
Morning went to Ubin, gosh the new ferry terminal now has a proper ICA checkpoint booth
@ Ubin went to one of the beaches at the Northern end, totally horrified by the pollution created by the neighbours across the straits
Managed to take a pic of a containerised vessel at the Johor Straits
Hmm...Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Could you post the pictures you took at Ubin? I'm sure there are a few of us who'd like to take a look at them.
Eh? What about the pic of the container ship?Originally posted by sbst275:Hmm...
I didn't take much pic of Ubin actually... What's there to see at Ubin actually??? Otherthan the fact that durians are hung right above the roads![]()
Wow! You were lucky it didn't land on top of you. I wonder how many people in SE Asia have been injured or killed by falling durians...Originally posted by sbst275:And yes, I did saw 1 of them dropping to the road right in front of meDue to the strong winds
I didn't pick it up as such durians are unripe
That pic sadly just now loaded to my darling's laptop, she said it's very blur... But if I checked Portnet, that vessel called Singapore on Friday morning, left at the afternoon for Pasir Gudang... That should be KMTC PORT KELANGOriginally posted by Meia Gisborn:Eh? What about the pic of the container ship?
I recall camping on the north shore of Ubin with a number of classmates back in my schooldays. We saw lots of crayfish (I think that's what they're called) on the beach. Are they still there, or has the pollution driven them away?
Are there still people living on Ubin?
I dun think it's that commonOriginally posted by Meia Gisborn:Wow! You were lucky it didn't land on top of you. I wonder how many people in SE Asia have been injured or killed by falling durians...

No, lah! Don't trouble yourself on account of me. Besides, your wife and you will be busy looking after your new kid. Maybe you can "arrow" another obliging forumite to do a photo trip to Ubin!
