why eat crappy stuff when you can eat really good LOCAL fare there?
there were students there who ate crappy "chinese food" for a couple of years, unwilling to try the huge variety of italian, greek, viet and other local stuff there until they run into people like me...

Dihlana is creepy, but I think she's the best of the whole group.

Asian fare seems for have taken off big-time here in recent years. I kid you not: within the past year, no less than six Chinese restaurants have opened up in my neighbourhood alone. They're all within a five-minute drive of my house, the closest one being a five-minute walk from my front door!
Not that that's a bad thing. Some weekends, when I'm too lazy to cook, I'll just drop by one of those restaurants and order some take-out. The food might not be authentic Chinese cuisine, but it is usually of decent quality, relatively inexpensive, and filling. -
i'm going to sleep.. come up with a whole lot of slides in the morning.. a presentation to a huge hall of about 500 people...
and i'm doing the goddamned presentation, the slides and everything
oh well... it's a living

Actually it is not when in rome eat what romans do.. but when in Australia, eat what hongkongers, italians, and greeks do.
Can't say all tt much abt... australian fare. At least not my cup of bush tucker. -

Yeah one huge reason why I hate tours and the whiney Singaporeans who whine for chinese food.
1 trip on a tour was enough to keep me off tours
