Sigh. As you know, my hubby's with the us navy. His command has zero'ed in on him and a co-worker for 6 months of duty in Iraq. The Captain will decide once both of them have completed their health and eligibility screenings, among other things.Originally posted by elindra:

Hubby says he doesn't think he'll get picked because he has sleep apnea and is currently on light duty because of his weak ankles. -
i hope Mr Jetta doesn't have to go...
it's a mess there..
messed up ankles? sleep apnea? if he's not picked to go due to these things, God does work in mysterious ways
oh.. if you wanna fix the sleep apnea thing, could be his tonsils are causing the closing of his trachea or something... i had mine removed coz i was suffering from obstructive sleep apnea.. now no more -

He's always had weak ankles. His somewhat flat feet doesn't help either. All those years of going up and down those steep iron stairs on ships has exacerbated the problem. His current command PTs thrice weekly. He was in such pain after one session. X-rays showed stress fractures in the area. We're hoping that these health issues will make his Captain pick the other guy over him. Unless the other guy is in worse shape. -

Nothing in the world would make me want my hubby to go to a dangerous zone too
Like the last time there was a plane stuck in mumbai and he was asked to go but I got him to use his reservist as an excuse though it is more money coz for like 2 days he gets alot of money paid in USD.
That was the period during the Mumbai Blast -
