Anyway, I didn't realise that the Taikoo sugar belongs to the same parent co of Cathay Pacific
... Swire Pacific... 
Anyway, their sugar refinery is now in Singapore and South Korea for diff kind of sugar -
thats a strange start to a day.. so how did you discover this discrepancy in sugar production?
I never notice sugar much but there are so many types u know.. caster..fine..coarse..molasses...raw..brown....red.... -

Good Morning Udon. Today's morning's topic is sugar
Yes.. Icing Sugar on donuts are pretty. I like them all sprinkled and with those.. stenciled shapes... on cupcaks and all that too..
Oh wonder if anyone know where can buy coloured sugar crystals. bUt I guess can make on ur own with some food colouring and coarse sugar -

Oh Yes.. I think Gula Melaka.. is in.. cos its coconut flavoured sugar
but... Winter melon is just sugar coated.. like sweet u know.. a bit different....
Once I cooked green bean soup with rock salt instead of rock sugar... rock salt looks similar leh.. to the unrefined big chunks of rock sugar type
But thankfully I didn't taste it. A housemate who could not resist the smell of the green bean soup went to steal a spoonful and spat it out everywhere. One chuck of rock salt is no joke. -

rock salt looks like unrefined yellowish chunky sugar. The shop that sell them never label leh....
