Well each has its own good and bad. As long as you like what you're doing, and it puts food on the table, its okay. Just don't be like my friend's cousin who hasn't even gotten anything resembling a job after his graduation and is still dependent on handouts from his folks. I was doing some freelance work during the 6 months that paid OK ($500 to $700 per month, enough for me to live on). So it was actually an enjoyable period of my life. Had a lot of bumming around time.Originally posted by Fatum:wah piang ...

my younger sis is an air-stewardess who's never home because of her job ... younger bro is a poly kid partying hard and long ... phone convos back home always last a long time, cos I know they miss me and need someone to talk to ...
oh well ... I dunno ... tough choices ahead ... -
Took me about 4 months to get a job
Job market was shit too
1st month I basically rotted at home
Got a contract job doing data entry which drove me nuts after that
Went for job interviews and not accepting jobs coz the pay was crap
Economy just crashed and they were offering jobs for grads at starting pay of $1400

Working with Siemens now.
Cousin wanted to stay back to work in USA but got dragged back by her mum. Doing her internship at IE Singapore Dunno about her sis though. Long way to go before she finishes her degree but she will have to come back to SG as she is heavily bonded. -

There are both high paying(starting from $2k+ to $3k++) as well as shit pay($1.4 to $1.6k) positions offered by companies.
