  TV story said lights in town were going on and off for hours because some sensor that turns the lights on in the night and off in the day got messed up.

  Nope, didn't hear about that. But then I wasn't watching or listening to the news last night, as I was more worried about the storm that moved through our part of the state. It spawned a number of tornadoes and caused quite a bit of damage up north; the news reported that one person was killed.
