Word is that this third season is even darker than the previous two, which is hard to believe if you've seen some of the seriously depressing episodes in the preceding seasons. -

Over here, Season One was released as a single box set; Season Two, which had a higher episode count, came out as two box sets (one for each half of the season).
And yes, they are worth every penny--at least for the hard-core BSG fan. -
