But I suspect they controlled Shin Corp thru the same method used by GIC for the South Korea property deal... Though it's considered legal, but end up the parent is the same -

I remember a bangkok post write up about a thaksin cabinet meeting, he was snapping and dispensing orders at his ministers like a CEO ..
but he certainly did a lot for the poor in Thailand ... no other country in south-east asia has come close to his universal 30 baht health care ...

there was a writeup in some economic programme once..
seems like the universal health care ended up the doctors were severely overworked and the hospitals were overrun with patients.. they advocated increasing the price..
i'm thinking, what the hell is wrong with the economists?
people must come first.. what they needed to do was to increase the number of doctors and hospital capacity.. for the people...

didn't they know one truck can pack nearly 60 men at least ...
