I'm reading "Cathy and Jodie", by Kit Chan and Yong Siew Fern.
It's basically a chronicle of their teenage years (they're best friends) in the 1980s.

I'm reading two books at the moment ... one for toilet duty and one for bedtime ...
1. "White Like Me, reflections on Race from a privileged son" Tim Wise
(it's as the title says, some may have read the "other" book, "Black like me")
2. "The Levant Trilogy", Olivia Manning,
a World War two epic set in, you guess it, the middle east, during the british western desert campaign. A lesser known but widely acclaimed war classic
guess which one I read sitting on the throne and which I read lying on the bed ... -

there is a book titled 'kite runner', a new york times bestseller.
i dont understand why but i saw 26 copies of this book on the shelf of the bedok library.
